Android Studio Download Installation WalkThrough
Before starting Android Studio Download Installation tutorial.You have to install all of these components for android development environment.
- Java Development Kit (Latest Version)
- Java Runtime Environment (Latest Version)
you can download JDK and JRE from Oracle Official website.Download link
Don’t forget these components to install before installing Android Studio IDE.We will work with Android Studio IDE throughout the tutorials.Basically there are two most popular IDE now running for android application development using java programming language.
- Eclipse (have multiple types like June,Kepler,Mars etc) but not used now on professional level.
- Android Studio(Recommended for Professional Development)
Many tools are available in the market for android application development some known tools are
- Xamarin cross platform(Android,IO’s,Windows,Blackberry)
- Unity 3D cross platform(Android,IO’s,Windows,Blackberry)
- Adobe Flex cross platform(Android,IO’s,Windows,Blackberry)

First Download Android Studio from Official Website.
After downloading Android Studio.Let’s install it by double clicking on downloaded file.
First it show you a welcome screen ok now move forwar by clicking next button.
After clicking next it will show you a window of components which you will need and if you have Android Studio SDK already then don’t check.Otherwise check all components.
Hit Next and agree with license.
After that it will show next window to choose your SDK path and Project workspace path.
After clicking next button it will start installating Android Studio with SDK unzipping.
Then after completion it will show you final window to finish and start Android Studio.
Click Finish.By default it will show you a little window on which there will be an option for create new android application project.Below is the default view of your project.
Installation of SDK is most important thing in android application development.Because these API and libraries are most important factor for your app.
So,Now go to Options Menu at the top click on Tools > Android > SDK Manager and open it.You have to download SDK Platforms which means API,SDK Tools.
Don’t forget anything.After downloading these API’s and Tools close this window.Alright we are done with Installation process.
Setting Up An Emulator
Prerequisite for Setting up an Emulator is to download Android SDK Platforms.Now how you will create a virtual Device on your PC or whatever you are using MAC etc.
First Go to Tools > Android > AVD Manager.New window will display on your screen.
Click on Create Virtual Device button.It will take you to choose device.
Hit next and choose Platform then again hit Next.At last it will pop up final window to finalize everything.
Show Advanced Setting button will take you to advance setting in which heap size,memory size you can set or change.
Finally hit Finish button.It will took some time to save and configure your on PC emulator.After some time it will display next window.Hit Play button on your right hand side with action panel.
Emulator will start.
I personallay recommend you to use Android Phone to test your apps because emulator took some time to load.It might slow down your pc as well.
